Respite Care

Friends, companionship and social outings are vital to quality of life. We can give you support so these activities stay a natural part of life. Many people have a family member or friend who provides care to help them
continue to live at home.

Carers and family members sometimes need support to keep going. As a carer you may need a break for a few hours or a few days, or you may need help for a short period if, for example, you are ill or recovering from an illness yourself. In addition, the person for whom you are caring might need a change of scenery, or want more companionship than you can provide. Respite care is a chance for you and the person you care for to take a break. This can be at home with care ranging from a few hours a week to overnight care. It can be transport to an appointment or social outing, help with shopping and bill paying, or just providing some companionship for a period of time.

Community and social support

We are able to provide support to enable the participant to independently engage
in social and recreational activities. As well as get involved with the local
community.

We provide in-home nursing or personal care services to
individuals of all ages. Our services allows your loved one to
stay in the comfort of their own home and maintain an
optimum level of independence.

Coordination of Support

Each participant receives tailored support from their Support Coordinator to implement, monitor and review their NDIS Plans.

ACAD encourages and supports people with a disability, their families/carers in understanding and implementing their NDIS plans. ACAD meets with the participant/carer to support them to understand their funding allocation, identify what they expect from services and how they want this designed.  Network and liaise with other providers and agencies. ACAD works collaboratively with participants to ensure they are connected to supports and services which are tailored to their needs. The Support Coordinator can assist in NDIS planning and review meetings.

Meal Prep

Assist to prepare and or cook meals, in accordance with the Participant’s
instruction.
